MRS. JOSE DRABWELL

Trustee of PIA and Treasurer & Trustee of IPOPI

Jose Drabwell is a trustee on the board of the PIA - Primary Immunodeficiency Association - in Great Britain where she has been involved with the vCJD issue and UK PIN.

In October 2004 she was elected to the board of IPOPI and since that date has looked after the financial side of the organisation as treasurer. She feels that she would like to set herself as an example to other people who might feel that having a chronic condition stops them from living a fulfilling life. This has come through his experiences as a person with a primary immunodeficiency.

For the last year Jose has represented IPOPI at the EMEA/Working Group with Patient Organisations meetings. Her wish is that every country in the world should have an active patient organisation, looking after the interests of people with a primary immunodeficiency and, that there will never be a threat to the supply of immunoglobulin.
